About Us
Fund Drive
Our fund drive is once a year (usually February to April). Any amount that our friends and supporters can spare is greatly appreciated. Our supporters can designate the scholarship project the donation should be used for; alternatively fund allocation will be discussed and decided upon by the ‘Trustees’ as a group.
Trustees
Ms. Dorrit Bern, USA
Ms. Martine Mang, Hong Kong
Ms. Beatrice Mi, Taiwan
Mr. Jim Bloise, USA
Mr. Gerd Kloppsteck, Germany
Ms. Erna Zint, Hong Kong
All trustees are volunteers and do this work without receiving any financial compensation. Moreover, our modest administrative costs, except bank transfer fees, such as the design and programming of this website, postage, etc., are born separately by one trustee, and not funded from donations.
We guarantee that your donations go directly to the children.
Project Control and Evaluation
Erna Zint, and on occasion other supporters, check the actual progress and implementation of the projects during inspection visits to Sri Lanka and Myanmar. This is done at our own expense, not charged to the fund.
The trustees also require and receive regular reports and updates about each scholarship program.
How to donate
For information about how to donate, please email us at: ifescsf@gmail.com
We regret that contributions to our fund are not tax deductible in the donor countries. Registration of our fund as a tax deductible charity in multiple countries (Hong Kong, the United States, Singapore, Germany, Austria, the United Kingdom, etc.) would involve very high fees and audit costs, which would take far too much money away from the children.
More Details
If you are interested in more details about our projects and the funds that were allocated to each of them in the fund’s account and back-up documentation; or if you have any other question about our efforts to help children in Sri Lanka and/or Myanmar, please do not hesitate to contact us at: ifescsf@gmail.com
